Instead of the grit used by most other anti-slip paints Protectakote uses small rubber granules to give a textured anti-slip finish, this not only lasts much longer but is also non-abrasive and impact resistant. Because Protectakote is an advanced formula polyurethane coating not only will it not flake, chip or peel but it is also extremely flexible and will stay stuck to surfaces that flex or bend.
Protectakote is available in two versions, standard and UVR (UltraViolet Resistant). The UVR version is not only more resistant to discolouration and the affects of weathering but 40% stronger so making it ideal for really tough applications such as areas of high wear or areas subject to long term weathering. In addition the UVR version has approximately half the drying time of the standard version so making it ideal where speed is important. The UVR version is also available in a smooth version in a limited range of colours.

Protectakote anti-slip coat (often referred to as non-slip but please note it is impossible to ever get a completely non-slip finish) will chemically bond to most surfaces (a primer may be required) leaving an extremely tough and flexible coating that is able to withstand impacts and is resistant to most solvents.
